Kill Snake 1.1


Yep.

The post jam update (v1.1) is already here and it hasn't even been a day yet.

I made a list of issues and oversights I found while play testing after I submitted as well as other ideas I thought about while play testing.

Kill Snake v1.1 - Post Jam Update

  • Fixed an issue with the Food Nutrition upgrade not actually providing bonuses
  • Fixed an issue with post processing bloom being to potent at times
  • Lowered the amount of experience needed when leveling
  • Updated settings menu UI
  • Food should no longer stay on the edge of the screen
  • Food no longer spawns close to the edge of the screen
  • Added an arrow that points at the snake and appears when the snake goes out of bounds
  • Updated upgrade descriptions
  • Put a cap on some upgrade's values
    • Choosing the upgrade while at max gives experience equivalent to eating food
  • The Food Nutrition upgrade now spawns an evil food pellet upon activation
    • This is an addition to the upgrade's previous effects
  • Added a new upgrade, Blunt Force: Gain a 5% chance to negate damage when ramming into enemies
  • Added an upgrade collection counter above where the upgrade is shown


That was all the changes for the post jam update. I do not plan on updating Kill Snake any further, the only thing I have written down is adding an arcade-like highscore system but I'm not sure if it will work out.
